Forrest Spence 5K : Event details
The Forrest Spence 5K is scheduled for August 29, 2026 at the Mullins Station Event Field in Shelby Farms Park, Memphis, TN. This is the 19th annual Forrest Spence 5K and the sixth year the event is held at Shelby Farms Park. The event is presented by Campbell Clinic Orthopaedics and is sanctioned by USA Track & Field.
The event supports the Forrest Spence Fund, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that assists with non-medical needs of critically or chronically ill children and their families across the Mid-South. The fund lists a fundraising goal of $20,000 and reports having assisted over 143,000 families.
Family-oriented activities are part of the event. On-site offerings include games, inflatable attractions, slides, food, and awards. A venue layout and course maps are provided for the site. The event is managed by Start 2 Finish Event Management.
A Ghost Runner or Virtual Runner option is available. Virtual participants may choose to have their race packet mailed and participants who post a virtual time are entered into a drawing for one of eight door prizes.
