Forrest Spence 5K : event details
The Forrest Spence 5K is a community road race held at Mullins Station Event Field in Shelby Farms Park, Memphis, TN. The 2026 edition is billed as the 19th annual event and marks the sixth year the race takes place at Shelby Farms Park. The event is presented by Campbell Clinic Orthopaedics and is sanctioned by USA Track & Field.
Race options and family activities include:
- 5K road race
- 100 yard dash for children 8 and under
- 1 Mile Fun Run for children 12 and under
The event program includes games, bounce houses, slides, food, awards, and other family-oriented activities. A Ghost Runner / Virtual Runner option is available; virtual participants can opt to have their race packet mailed and those who post a virtual time are entered into a drawing for one of eight door prizes.
The Forrest Spence Fund is the beneficiary organization. It is an official 501(c)(3) nonprofit that assists with non-medical needs of critically or chronically ill children and their families across the Mid-South.
