Formosa Spiked Apple 5k
The Formosa Spiked Apple 5k takes place at the Formosa Winery in Kissimmee, Florida. This event is held on a large property consisting of vineyards and fruit orchards, located near Walt Disney World and Margaritaville. The venue serves as a tasting house and dining destination featuring 50 wines on tap.
Participants can choose between two distance options:
- 5 km
- 1.5 miles
The course begins and ends at the winery. It consists of a two-lap layout centered around the property's scenery. The terrain includes established paths and sections of cross-country style running on grass. Participants who complete only one lap of the course will be scored in the 1.5 mile division. This event is chip-timed, and results are posted online following the conclusion of the race.
Registrants receive a cotton T-shirt, a shatterproof collapsible glass, and a finisher medal that functions as a bottle opener. Post-race amenities include a pour of cider and a homemade cider donut at the finish line. Free finisher photos are also provided for digital download.
The event is dog-friendly for animals on a leash shorter than six feet. Strollers are permitted, though the course includes some uneven ground.
