The Ford City 5K and Kids 1/2 Mile
The event takes place on July 4, 2026 at Ford City Memorial Park, 800 Block of 4th Avenue, Ford City, PA 16226. The program includes a certified 5K loop that begins and ends in front of the park and a flat out-and-back kids 1/2 mile course.
Registration is offered in advance with earlier registration guaranteeing a race shirt through June 1. Merchandise and additional race shirts are available for purchase through June 1 and will be available for pickup on race day. Results will be posted on runhigh.com. Street parking is available throughout town, with additional parking concentrated on 3rd Avenue near the trail.
Festivities on race day include food and drink vendors, live music by the Jentz Band, kids activities, and an awards ceremony. The races take place during Ford City’s Annual Heritage Festival, a multi-day community festival with vendors and food.

Awards for the 5K include top three overall men and women and top three in standard age groups with no award duplication. Kids awards are top three boys and girls in specified youth age divisions.
