Elderton Plumcreek Recreation Park 39th Annual 5K
The Elderton Plumcreek Recreation Park 39th Annual 5K is scheduled for May 14, 2027 in Elderton, Pennsylvania at the park adjacent to Elderton State Bank (E. Saltwork/N. Lytle St.). The event includes a 5K run and a 5K walk-only option that follow a USATF certified original course through the town.
The course has recorded splits at 1 and 2 miles. Water stations are available on course and post-race refreshments are provided. Food trucks are listed as part of the event program. Official timing and results are handled by Miles of Smiles Timing Services, with results posted by that timing service.
Entry fee information is provided for two registration periods: $15 through May 13, 2027, which includes a T-shirt while supplies last, and $20 for day-of registration, with no guaranteed T-shirt. Day-of registration and participant check-in take place at Elderton Plumcreek Recreation Park. Advance registration opens June 15, 2026 and closes May 13, 2027.
Trophy awards are given to the top three male and top three female overall finishers, top three males and females in each age group for the run, top three male and female walkers, the oldest and youngest finishers, and the first finisher from the Elderton Volunteer Fire Department. Age groups for male and female categories are 10 & Under, 11-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 & Over. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
