Metro East Footsteps for Families 2026
Metro East Footsteps for Families 2026 is a community 5K run and 1 mile walk held in Belleville, Illinois at The Fellowship Church, 1897 Mascoutah Avenue. The event takes place on June 27, 2026 and includes a family day with food, music, a bounce house, and kids activities.

The program offers an in-person option and a virtual participation option. Medals are awarded to 5K participants. An awards ceremony recognizes first through third place in male and female age groups: 29 and under, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, and 60 to 69. Packet pick up is available the day before the event at The Fellowship Church. Child registration is available for attendees who will take part in activities; children five and under are free. Virtual results are managed separately from the live race results and include separate fundraising and mileage awards for virtual teams and individuals.
The event is organized by a chapter of Safe Families for Children, an organization founded in 2003 that aims to prevent child neglect, reduce entries into the child welfare system, and support families in need. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
