St. Louis Triathlon
The St. Louis Triathlon is a USAT Sanctioned Event and State Championship Race held at Creve Coeur Park in Maryland Heights, Missouri. The event offers a wide range of multi-sport disciplines including triathlons, duathlons, aquabikes, and aquathlons across two main distances, as well as a standalone 6 km run/walk.
The competition features Sprint and Olympic categories:
- Sprint Triathlon: 750m swim, 20k bike, 5k run
- Olympic Triathlon: 1 mile swim, 40k bike, 10k run
- Sprint Duathlon: 3k run, 20k bike, 5k run
- Olympic Duathlon: 5k run, 40k bike, 10k run
- Sprint Aquabike: 750m swim, 20k bike
- Olympic Aquabike: 1 mile swim, 40k bike
- Sprint Aquathlon: 750m swim, 5k run
- Olympic Aquathlon: 1 mile swim, 10k run
- 6k Run/Walk: One loop around the lake
The swim takes place in Creve Coeur Lake, with athletes entering the water in small groups. The bike course utilizes local roads and highways, and the run course follows the park's scenic trails. An Elite Olympic wave is available for experienced athletes, offering a mass start and prize money for top finishers.
Registration includes a race t-shirt (if registered by the deadline), swim cap, finisher medal, and a drawstring bag. Participants have access to live results and race photos. The event concludes with a finish line festival featuring music, food, drinks, and vendor booths. A portion of every entry fee supports the Wounded Warrior Project.
