St. Louis Triathlon – Lou Fusz Subaru State Championship Race
The St. Louis Triathlon is a USAT sanctioned state championship event produced by MSE Racing at Creve Coeur Park on June 28, 2026. The event is presented in partnership with St. Louis County Parks, the City of Maryland Heights, and MoDOT and includes a finish line festival with food, vendors, music, and awards.
Race formats cover sprint and Olympic multisport distances, relays, paratriathlon divisions, and a separate 6K run walk. Distances include:
- Sprint Triathlon: 750m swim, 20k bike, 5k run
- Sprint Aquabike: 750m swim, 20k bike
- Sprint Duathlon: 3k run, 20k bike, 5k run
- Sprint Aquathlon: 750m swim, 5k run
- Sprint Relay: 750m swim, 20k bike, 5k run
- Sprint Paratriathlon: 750m swim, 20k bike, 5k run
- Olympic Triathlon: 1 mile swim, 40k bike, 10k run
- Olympic Aquabike: 1 mile swim, 40k bike
- Olympic Duathlon: 5k run, 40k bike, 10k run
- Olympic Aquathlon: 1 mile swim, 10k run
- Olympic Relay: 1 mile swim, 40k bike, 10k run
- High School Sprint and Athena/Clydesdale divisions
- Elite Olympic and a 6K Run Walk around the lake
Packet pickup and bike drop occur the day before at Lou Fusz Athletic Training Center and Creve Coeur Park respectively. Packet pickup requires a photo ID and includes a wristband for transition access, a timing chip to be worn on the left ankle, bike and helmet stickers, and a race bib for the run. Water and electrolyte drink are provided on the run course; there are no aid stations on the bike. A mechanic and SAG support will be available for bike issues. A portion of entry fees benefits the Wounded Warrior Project. Age group awards, relay awards, and overall awards are assigned by standard age categories and gender divisions.
