Foothills XC12K
Foothills XC12K is a trail race in Boise that offers two measured courses and shares a common start and finish location at the Fort Boise Park Military Reserve Trail System. Participants may run or hike either course.
Distances include:
- 12K trail course
- 5K trail course
Packet pickup is offered before race day at local Fleet Feet locations in Meridian, Boise, and Nampa, with limited pickup available on race day for those who cannot pick up in advance. Interactive course maps are provided for both the 5K and 12K. Weather may require a change to the course or event date to protect trail conditions.
Cash prizes are listed for the 12K: $50 for first-place finishers in each division (male, female, non-binary) and $50 for King of Mountain in each division. There will not be official age group awards; a post-race raffle based on bib number is planned. Results and photos will be posted after race day.
Proceeds from the event support the Bogus Basin Nordic Team and the development of Nordic skiing in the Treasure Valley. The event includes volunteer opportunities and a program that donates $25 per volunteer back to an organization selected by the volunteer group.
