About the race
The Foothills 150 is a pair of supported ultramarathon events held on the Foothills Trail in Pickens, South Carolina, presented by Warrior Adventure Racing. The route follows the trail from Table Rock State Park out to Oconee State Park and back, using public shared land and Blue Ridge foothills terrain.
Distances
- 150 miles: full Foothills Trail out to Oconee State Park and back
- 75 miles: single-direction return from Oconee State Park to Table Rock State Park
Runners are checked in at Table Rock State Park to receive bib numbers and GPS trackers. The events use live GPS tracking and operate eight stocked aid stations along the course. All participants must carry required safety gear, a cell phone, and a GPS tracker, and must check in at each aid station. Pacers are permitted only in the 150 mile event, beginning at the turnaround at Oconee State Park. Any runner who withdraws must do so at a designated transition area with race staff and turn in their tracker; all runners must check out and return trackers at event conclusion.
The event follows Leave No Trace protocol across shared public land. Camping is available at the Table Rock State Park campground; van, car, and RV camping are not permitted in the Table Rock parking lot. A portion of entry proceeds supports the Foothills Trail Conservancy. Awards are given to top solo finishers in several age and gender categories.
