Event details
Foot Traffic Flat is a multi-distance road race held on Sauvie Island, Oregon, with the start and finish at the Pumpkin Patch. The event offers in-person and virtual options; the virtual race may be completed between July 4 and July 11 and includes the race medal, shirt, and commemorative bib. The marathon has a 5.5 hour time limit. Strollers are allowed; pets are not permitted. There are no refunds or deferrals, but transfers to another participant or to a virtual entry or different distance are allowed.

Courses and on-course support
The full and half marathons are certified courses (Full: Cert # OR23006JH; Half: Cert # OR23007JH). The full includes an out-and-back section along Sauvie Island Road and uses the half loop; the half is a single clockwise loop. Course descriptions note generally flat terrain with a few small rises. Aid station coverage: full marathon 14 stations, half marathon 7 stations, quarter marathon 3 stations; stations include restrooms, hand washing, water, electrolyte (Hammer Fizz) and energy gels.
Logistics
A return shuttle runs between NW Portland (pickup in front of the Silver Cloud Inn) and the event; shuttle tickets are limited and require a separate purchase.
