Foot Traffic Flat takes place on July 4, 2026 on Sauvie Island, Oregon, with the Pumpkin Patch as the start and finish venue. The event offers multiple in-person distances, a virtual option, on-course support, and event swag including shirts, medals, and custom bibs.

The full and half courses are certified and set on very flat island roads with a few small rises. The full marathon features 14 water stations; the half marathon has 7 water stations; the quarter course has 3 water stations. Each staffed station on the longer courses includes restrooms, hand washing stations, water, electrolyte drink, and energy gels. Professional chip timing is provided for timed distances.
Logistics note: a round trip shuttle runs from NW Portland in front of the Silver Cloud Inn and shuttle tickets are limited. Parking uses multiple large fields and the route to the island is a single-lane road, so carpooling is encouraged and spectators are asked to minimize driving around the course. Strollers are allowed; pets are not permitted. The marathon has a 5.5 hour time limit. Virtual entrants may complete the distance July 4 through July 11 and receive event swag and a commemorative bib. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
