Foot Traffic Flat takes place on July 4, 2026 at the Pumpkin Patch on Sauvie Island, Oregon. The event offers multiple in-person distances and a virtual option with commemorative race items.

The full and half marathons are dual certified and can serve as qualifying races for Boston (cert # OR23006JH for the full, cert # OR23007JH for the half). Courses run through farmland with wildlife and barns and are described as generally flat with a few small rises. The full marathon includes 14 water stations; the half includes 7; the quarter has 3. Aid stations and finish-area services include restrooms, hand washing stations, water, electrolyte drinks, and energy gels. Chip timing and professional results are provided for timed distances.
Logistics note that access to the island uses a single-lane road; organizers recommend arriving well before a participant’s start and encourage carpooling. A shuttle runs between NW Portland and Sauvie Island with a cash fare. The quarter marathon finishes on the back side of the island and shuttle buses return runners to the main finish area.
Race items include tech shirts, medals, and custom bibs that will show a registrant’s name if submitted by June 21. There is a 5.5 hour time limit on the marathon. Refunds and deferrals are not offered; participant transfers or transfers to the virtual race or a different distance are available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
