Fool's Dual Half Marathon - Gloucester, MA
The event on April 3, 2027, is based at O'Maley Middle School, 32 Cherry Street, Gloucester, MA. Two distances are offered:
- 5K
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
Registration opens April 21, 2026 and closes December 31, 2026. Published entry fees are $29.00 for the 5K and $79.00 for the Half Marathon. A reduced entry fee of $10.00 applies for kids 12 and under in the 5K.
Parking is available at the start/finish area. Bib and race swag pick-up for both distances is on race day only from 8:00am to 8:45am. Merchandise and awards must be picked up at the event; items will not be mailed. Bag check is not available.
The half marathon course includes six aid stations with water near miles 2, 4, 5, 6, 9 and 11; sports drink and energy gel are also available on course. Portable restrooms are available at the start/finish and along the half marathon course near miles 4 and 9. The 5K course has one aid station near mile 2.
Awards are given to the top three men and women in each listed age group, and overall categories include 19 & under and successive five-year age groups up to 75-79. Per USATF rules, gun times are used for scoring. Roads remain open to traffic with local police monitoring. The school site is closed to the public on event day.
