Event Details

The Food for All 5K is a community event that welcomes walkers and runners. The 2026 edition is the seventh annual event. It takes place on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at the Fredericksburg Food Co-op in Fredericksburg, Virginia.

Purpose

The net proceeds from the race support the Community Co-op Cash Program. This program provides a 15% store-wide discount for one year to qualifying shoppers who use benefits such as EBT, TANF, WIC, or are unemployment beneficiaries. The goal is to make fresh, local food more accessible and affordable in the community.

Participants can choose from two options:

Virtual 5K

Registration

Registration for a guaranteed race t-shirt is available until May 2, 2026.

Additional Notes

Dogs are not permitted on the race course. Strollers are welcome.

Packet Pickup

Packet pickup is required for all participants. It is held at the Co-op on Friday, May 15 (4:00–6:00 PM) and on race day, Saturday, May 16 (7:00–8:45 AM).

Awards

In the in-person 5K, awards are given to the top three male and top three female finishers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
