Freedom Fighters 5k, 10k and Half Marathon
The event on June 7 is held at Prince William Forest Park in Triangle, VA and features three distances: a 5k, a 10k, and a half marathon. Points from the races count toward multiple series including Year‑Long 5k, 10k, Endurance, Back of the Pack, and the Spring Series.
Course details vary by distance. The half marathon is mostly pavement (about 60 percent), the 10k is roughly half pavement and half trail, and the 5k is a trail run. The route includes hills and elevation changes; a course map and elevation profile are provided by the organizer.
Amenities and services include chip timing, a finisher medal, and a technical event shirt. Water stations are placed along each course: eight stations on the half marathon, three on the 10k, and one on the 5k, with Gatorade available at some locations. Restrooms are located near the Visitor Center. Packet pickup is available at the event and there will be no on-site race registration.
A virtual race option is offered for participants who cannot attend in person. The event benefits Semper Fi and America’s Fund. Results will be posted live and final results with series points will be published after the race. Awards are given to the top three men and women overall and to top finishers in multiple age categories. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
