Event overview
The 2026 Freedom Fighters race day is on June 7, 2026 at Prince William Forest Park, Triangle, VA. The event offers three distances:
- 5k - trail only
- 10k - about 50% trail and 50% pavement
- Half marathon - mostly pavement (about 60%)
Points from this event count toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k, Endurance, and Back of the Pack Series, and toward the Spring Series. The event benefits Semper Fi & America’s Fund. A virtual race option is available.
Services, rules and logistics
Runners receive a finisher’s medal, a technical (drifit) event shirt, and chip timing. T-shirts are guaranteed for participants registered before May 27; extras may be available afterward. Registration fees until May 15 are: 5k $35, 10k $50, Half $70; listed higher prices apply after May 15 and race-morning registration increases each distance by $5. There will be no on-site race registration.
Packet pickup is available at the event; organizers recommend arriving about one hour before a participant’s race to check in. Water stations are provided as follows: eight on the half at approximate mile markers 1.55, 3.3, 4.55, 5.6, 8, 10, 11 and 11.65; three on the 10k at about 1.55, 3.1 and 4.65; one on the 5k at about 1.55. Some stations will offer Gatorade. Final results with series points are posted after the race and live results are available during the event.
