Folsom Turkey Trot
The Folsom Turkey Trot is a family oriented community running event held on Thanksgiving morning in Folsom, California. The event offers two race distances:
- 5K Run - 3.1 miles
- 10K Run - 6.2 miles
A portion of proceeds and donations benefit local organizations, including Twin Lakes Food Bank, the Never In Our Town Youth Scholarship, and local trails. The event also includes a food drive that collects nonperishable pantry donations.
Entry follows a tiered fee schedule: early registration is $32, general registration is $37 from 10/3/26 to 11/8/26, and late registration is $41 after 11/8/26. There is no registration on race day. Online registration is available through Tuesday, November 24, 2026 at 11pm. If the event is not sold out, in person packet pick-up is available on Wednesday, November 25, 2026.
Organizers limit participation to 4,300 runners. Organizers usually capped entries at 4,100 but allowed more this year; because of the increased entries, shirt availability is limited and some later registrants may not receive shirts.
