Folsom Lake Trail Run
The Folsom Lake Trail Run takes place on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Browns Ravine Marina, 661 Green Valley Rd, El Dorado Hills, CA. The event offers multiple race distances:
- 10K
- Half Marathon
- 35K
- 50K
The course is an out-and-back route along the southern/eastern side of Folsom Lake. The route travels east from Browns Ravine Marina past Falcon Crest and Salmon Falls to Sweetwater Trail Head and returns to the start/finish area. Aid stations are positioned approximately every 4 to 6 miles and provide a range of foods and drinks, including energy gels, chews, stroopwafels, trail mix, salty snacks, fruit, soda, and electrolyte drink mixes. Organizers advise runners to carry at least one 20oz bottle due to varying distances between aid stations.
Parking is available within Browns Ravine Marina for a fee of $12.00 and California State Park Poppy Passes are accepted. The event has a total capacity of 500 runners across all distances. There is an eight hour time limit for the 35K and 50K races. Organizers provide a detailed course map, aid station distances and cutoffs, and elevation profiles.
Early bib pickup is available the day before at Fleet Feet Folsom. To be guaranteed a race shirt and size, registration must be completed by April 13, 2026. Awards include custom trophies for top three overall finishers in each race, special sponsor items for top finishers, medals for all finishers, pint glasses for 50K finishers, a Dead Last Finisher award, and age-group medals three deep for male, female, and non-binary categories.
Entry fees are non-refundable. A credit equal to 50% of the original fee may be issued for cancellations received at least three weeks prior to the race; credits expire one year after issuance. Organizers do not offer refunds for weather related issues and reserve discretion on credits if an event is cancelled for other reasons.
