Folsom Lake Trail Run
The Folsom Lake Trail Run is a trail race set for Saturday, May 2, 2026, centered at Browns Ravine Marina in El Dorado Hills, California. The event uses lakeside trails along the southern/eastern side of Folsom Lake on an out-and-back course that travels east past Falcon Crest and Salmon Falls to Sweetwater Trail Head and returns to the start area. The 2026 layout is tentative due to ongoing construction at Folsom Lake.

- 50K
- 35K
- Half Marathon
- 10K
The event has a total capacity of 500 runners. There is an eight hour time limit for the 50K and 35K races. Parking is available at Browns Ravine Marina for a fee of $12.00 and California State Park Poppy Passes are accepted. Registration is scheduled to close on Friday, May 1 at 11:59 PM PT. To be guaranteed a race shirt and a chosen size, registration must be completed by April 13, 2026.
Aid stations are placed approximately every four to six miles and are stocked with a variety of foods, beverage options, electrolyte products, and basic first aid items. Runners are strongly encouraged to carry at least one 20 ounce bottle due to variable distances between aid stations.
Finishers receive awards and mementos including custom medals for all finishers, trophies for top overall finishers, and a pint glass for 50K finishers. Volunteer roles support many race functions and include uniform benefits such as a race T shirt and food. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
