Event Overview
The Flyin' Lion 5K & Cub Run is a running event taking place on March 28, 2026. The event is held on and around the campus of Lakeway Christian Academy in White Pine, Tennessee.
Events and Activities
The event includes several race options:
- Flyin' Lion 5K: A 5K run/walk.
- Cub Fun Run: A run for children 10 years old and under.
- Sleeping Lion Run Walk 5K / Virtual Option: A virtual option where participants can complete the distance on their own schedule.
Awards and Participation
Awards are given to the top overall male and female finishers in the 5K. Age group awards are also given in 20-year increments: 19 & under, 20-39, 40-59, and 60+. All 5K and virtual participants receive an event t-shirt with registration; shirts must be picked up on race morning or from the school office for virtual participants. A registration deadline of March 15, 2026, is noted to guarantee a shirt.
Children completing the Cub Fun Run receive a medal at the finish line. All Cub runners receive a participation token. Registrants are entered to win a school sports pass.
Course and Logistics
The 5K race starts and ends on the school campus. Restrooms are available in the athletic complex and school. Proceeds from the event benefit the athletic departments of Lakeway Christian Academy and Cornerstone Christian Academy. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
