Rochester Flower City Challenge
The Flower City Challenge is a multi-distance running event held in Rochester, New York. The event base is located at Parcel 5, a downtown green space that serves as the athlete village and the site for post-race activities. The courses are designed to transition through various city neighborhoods and pass historic landmarks.
Participants can choose from several distance options:

The Half Marathon is part of the Fleet Feet Grand Prix Series. Top overall male and female finishers in this distance are eligible for cash prizes. For those seeking a long-term goal, the event serves as the second race in the Four Season Challenge, a series of four races held throughout the year. Runners who complete the challenge receive additional rewards, including a lightweight water-resistant jacket and a special finisher medal for each event.
The event site includes several designated areas for participants and spectators. A recovery zone is staffed by medical professionals, and a dedicated zone is available for children. Live entertainment is provided at the main venue, featuring a band performing a variety of genres including R&B, rock, and pop. Spectator zones are located along the route to allow for viewing, and the event utilizes a local program to manage support along the course miles.
