Rochester Regional Health Flower City Challenge
The Flower City Challenge takes place in Rochester, New York, featuring a variety of distances held within the downtown area and historic neighborhoods. The event base is located at Parcel 5, which serves as the start and finish area, providing a green space for the athlete village and post-race activities. The courses are designed to highlight city sights and local landmarks.
Participants can choose from several distance options:
- Half Marathon
- 5K
- Kids 1/2 Mile
- Virtual Half Marathon
- Virtual 5K
The event includes a post-race party featuring live music from a local party band and a dedicated kidz zone for younger attendees. A recovery zone staffed by medical professionals is available on-site. The Half Marathon serves as the first race in the Fleet Feet Grand Prix Series, where overall top male and female finishers can earn prizes.
This event is also a component of the Four Season Challenge. Runners who commit to this year-long series participate in four distinct races across different seasons in Rochester to earn additional medals and a water-resistant jacket.
