Rochester Regional Health Flower City Challenge : April 26, 2026 (event window through May 3 for virtual results)
The Flower City Challenge is a multi-event running weekend with in-person and virtual options based at Parcel 5, a downtown green space at 285 E Main Street, Rochester, NY 14604. The half marathon course is USATF certified and the event route highlights city neighborhoods and landmarks including the Susan B Anthony Home and neighborhood, East Avenue mansions, Park Avenue, Highland Park, the University of Rochester campus, the Genesee River Path, and the Frederick Douglass / Susan B Anthony Bridge.
Event formats include:
- Half marathon in-person and virtual
- 5K in-person and virtual
- Kids 1/2 mile in-person and virtual
- Wheelchair divisions for the half and 5K
- 2-person pushchair divisions for the half and 5K
In-person entries include chip timing, online results, post-race food, and a logoed finisher medal. Apparel options are offered for participants; hoody and crewneck selection ends March 15 and short sleeve tech top size guarantees end March 31. Packet pickup and an expo are scheduled at Fleet Feet at The Armory (155 Culver Rd, Rochester) in the days before the event and limited pickup at Parcel 5 on race day. The event is part of the Four Season Challenge series. Registration terms state the race may be changed, switched to virtual, or canceled and that there are no refunds, transfers, or deferrals unless otherwise stated.
