Florence Freedom 5K : July 4, 2026
The Florence Freedom 5K is the fourth annual edition held in downtown Florence, South Carolina, on July 4, 2026. The event uses the Run Like a Nut course, described as a flat route through the downtown area. Organizers provide custom finisher medals to all 5K runners, cooled towels, and post-race concessions.
Part of the event proceeds will benefit the Disabled American Veterans and One Child At A Time. The race is listed as a double points Pee Dee Grand Prix event.

Race amenities and policies listed by the organizer include pre-race packet pickup on race day, commemorative shirts for preregistrants, and awards for top finishers. Runners who preregister before June 1 receive a gold shirt or gold tank top; tank tops are available only to those preregistering before that date. Shirt sizes offered are Youth XS through L and Adult XS through XXL.
Award categories for the 5K include top three overall male and female, top three masters male and female, and top three male and female in each age group. Age groups are 10 & Under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus. Strollers and pets are permitted and there are no age or parking restrictions noted.
