The Zero to Hero Run
The event takes place at the Flint Hills Trail Mile Zero Trailhead in Osawatomie, Kansas. The course follows the Flint Hills Trail, which is described as the longest of Kansas's more than 3,000 miles of public trails. The route is not a technical trail; organizers describe it as flat and fast with a firm, smooth crushed gravel surface.
Three distance options are available:
- 5K trail race, registration fee $30
- 10K trail race, registration fee $35
- 10 Miles trail race, registration fee $40
Finishers receive trail-themed medals and a giveaway that is to be determined. Awards will be given to the top three finishers in each distance. Packet pickup is at the Karl E. Cole Sports Complex, 900 12th Street, Osawatomie, Kansas 66064. Organizers recommend using Google Maps rather than Apple Maps to arrive at the correct address.
