The event is a Sprint Duathlon with the following legs:

Chip timing will be provided by Thistle Timing. Prize money of £100, £75, and £50 will be awarded to the top three finishers in each Open and Female category. Winners of each Triathlon Scotland age group listed in the race information will receive a prize equal to the entry fee.
Categories include Open, Female, and age groups from Junior C through Veterans 7-8-9 (>70). A British Triathlon race pass is mandatory for those without a Home Nation membership and will be checked at registration; race pass costs are listed as £2.00 (plus £0.08 service charge) for participants aged 24 and under, and £8.00 (plus £0.32 service charge) otherwise. The organiser’s refund policy allows 75% refunds (minus card fees) for withdrawals more than 28 days before the event, with limited refunds after that only if a place can be filled.
