Event
The Fleet Feet Firefly Five-Miler is scheduled for August 23, 2026 in Athens, GA. The event offers two options:
- 5-mile Fleet Feet Firefly Five-Miler
- 5-mile Virtual Fleet Feet Firefly Five-Miler
Base registration fee is $30. The price increases to $35 after July 31, 2026. Virtual registration closes on the event date. Virtual runners are not eligible for race day awards or t-shirts. T-shirt availability is limited and tied to early registration; shirts may not be available once inventory is depleted. The race is a member event of the 2026 Firefly Trail Race Series and is also part of the Black Bag Race Series and the Clover Glove Race Series.
Course and logistics
The course is an out-and-back along the Firefly Trail in Dudley Park, starting near the sunflowers, with a 2.5-mile outbound leg and a return to the start for a total of 5 miles. There is a single water stop on the course that runners pass twice. Awards are given to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd overall male and female, 1st masters male and female, and 1st through 3rd in 5-year age groups from 10 and Under up to 80 and Over.
