The Fleet Feet Firefly Five-Miler takes place on August 23, 2026 in Athens, Georgia at Dudley Park, 100 Dudley Park Road, 30601. The organizer is Fleet Feet Athens / Oconee and the event serves as a fund-raising race for the Firefly Trail Race Series.
The event offers two entries: the in-person Fleet Feet Firefly Five-Miler and a Virtual Fleet Feet Firefly Five-Miler. The core distance is 5 miles. Virtual participants may run the distance anywhere and must submit a finish time by 12:00 noon on August 23, 2026; virtual entrants are not eligible for race day awards or t-shirts.
The course for the in-person race is an out and back along the Firefly Trail. The race begins on the trail in Dudley Park near the sunflowers, continues 2.5 miles to a turnaround point, and returns to the start. One water stop is located on the course and is passed twice by runners.
Awards are presented to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Overall Male and Female, 1st Masters Male and Female, and in 5-year age groups from 10 and Under through 80 and Over.
