Flatlanders Road Race
Flatlanders Road Race takes place in Regina, SK at the Canada Games Athletic Complex (Douglas Park Track) on October 3, 2026. All races start and finish on the track.
Distances offered include:
- 21.1 km half marathon
- 10 km
- 5 km
- 1 mile children's race for ages 4 to 11
- 50 km on the track, 125 laps
The 5 km uses local community roads and part of the University of Regina and passes an aid station twice. The 10 km extends those road sections into the university and community and uses the same two aid stations. The half marathon covers community roads, more of the university, a large portion of the Wascana multi-use path and the roads around the legislative building, with four aid station passes. The 50 km is entirely on the track with one aid station; a designated exit and entrance must be used for restroom breaks and for access to additional personal gear.
The children's race uses the same start and finish line, follows part of the track, exits through the east gate for a loop inside the park with no road crossings, and returns to finish on the track. Starts are staggered to reduce congestion. The course design includes turnarounds that create some two-way traffic; runners are expected to keep to the right and be aware of oncoming participants.
Registrations close on September 27, 2026. There are no refunds. Race kits can be picked up the day before or on race morning. Walkers are welcome in the 5 km and 10 km. Dogs and strollers are not permitted. Use of personal audio devices is permitted but runners should listen for race directions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
