About the race
The Flatlanders Road Race is the 32nd edition held in Regina, Saskatchewan at the Canada Games Athletic Complex (Douglas Park Track) on October 3, 2026. The event offers multiple distances and a mix of track, park, campus, and neighbourhood roads.
Races include:
- 50 km on the track (125 laps) with one aid station and a designated exit/entrance for restroom access and personal gear.
- 21.1 km half marathon using community roads, extended University of Regina sections, Wascana multi-use path, and roads around the legislative building; this distance passes an aid station four times.
- 10 km using local roads and university areas, sharing aid stations with the 5 km.
- 5 km through Douglas Park and the University of Regina; participants pass an aid station twice.
- 1-mile children's race for ages 4 to 11 that starts and finishes on the track, leaves via the east gate, loops through the park with no road crossings, and returns to the track.
Walkers are welcome in the 5K and 10K. Starts are staggered to reduce congestion and some two-way traffic occurs on turnarounds; runners are asked to keep to the right and be aware of oncoming runners. Race packages can be picked up at the Canada Games Athletic Complex on the Friday before the event or on race morning. Registration closes at 11:59 pm on September 27, 2026. No refunds.
