Flatlanders Road Race in Regina, SK, Canada
The Flatlanders Road Race takes place on Saturday October 3, 2026 at the Canada Games Athletic Complex (Douglas Park Track). All races start and finish on the track and the event offers multiple distances for different participants.
Distances offered:
- 50 km on the track (125 laps)
- 21.1 km half marathon
- 10 km
- 5 km
- 1 mile children's race (ages 4 to 11)
This year features new course layouts. The 5 km uses local streets and part of the University of Regina and passes an aid station twice. The 10 km extends that route through the university and community and uses the same two aid stations. The half marathon follows extended community roads, university sections, the Wascana multi-use path and roads around the legislative building, with four aid station passes. The 50 km is entirely on the track with one main aid station and a designated exit and entrance for bathroom use and additional personal gear.
Walkers are welcome in the 5 km and 10 km. Dogs and strollers are not permitted. Starts are staggered to reduce congestion and to improve safety; runners should keep to the right where two-way traffic occurs. Race packages may be picked up at the Canada Games Athletic Complex on the Friday before the event or on race morning. All registrations close on September 27, 2026 and there are no refunds.
