Flathead Lake Run
The Flathead Lake Run is a community athletic event held in Lakeside, Montana. The race courses are situated along the shoreline of Flathead Lake, providing a scenic environment for participants. This event is professionally timed and serves as a fundraiser to support the long-term health and preservation of the lake through partnerships with local environmental and research organizations.
Participants can choose from three distinct distances:
- 10 km (6.2 miles) running race.
- 5 km (3.11 miles) running race open to all ages.
- 1 mile running race designed for children.
The 10 km and 5 km events are open to participants of all ages. The 1 mile run is specifically designated for children aged 12 and under, though some registration categories may focus on ages 10 and under. Strollers are permitted on the course, and children in strollers can participate without a registration fee.
The event base is located at Volunteer Park. All registered participants receive an official event t-shirt. Amenities available at the site include fruit and locally roasted coffee for those picking up race materials. Following the completion of the distances, the event organizers award medals to overall winners and distribute cash prizes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
