Lucky Hare Half Marathon & 9K
The Lucky Hare event takes place on March 20, 2027, in Kalispell, Montana, with the finish area on 1st Ave in downtown Kalispell. The course uses sections of the Great Northern Trail system between Kila and Kalispell and the half marathon starts at the Smith Lake fishing access in Kila.

- Hare Half Marathon - 13.1 Miles
- Lucky 9K - 5.8 Miles
Runners meet on 1st Ave race morning and ride a mandatory bus shuttle to the start line. Registration opens November 13, 2026 and closes January 7, 2027. Published registration fees are $75.00 for the half marathon and $45.00 for the 9K. Race registration includes one beer for participants 21 and over or a nonalcoholic drink, a chip-timed race bib, and a race shirt.
Post-race activities on 1st Ave include a beer garden and a St. Patrick’s Day gathering with raffle drawings, music, and finisher awards.
