Flat Caps 10K, Sowerby Bridge

The Flat Caps 10K is scheduled for 12 April 2026 in Sowerby Bridge, Halifax. It is a measured, chip timed road race held over a single 10 kilometre lap with an undulating hilly profile. The course is fully marshalled.

Entry is limited to 250 places. Entry fees listed are Affiliated £15.00 and Unaffiliated £17.00; entry on the day is available for an additional £2.00 if the event does not sell out. The event is not suitable for wheelchairs.

Race headquarters is at Sowerby Bridge Cricket Club, Walton Street, HX6 1AN. Facilities include water stations, distance markers, toilets, changing facilities and showers; there is no baggage store. Tea, coffee, buns, and bacon and vegetarian butties are available at the venue.

One hundred percent of profits are donated to Overgate Hospice. Over £2,700 was raised for Overgate in 2025.

A cash prize of £50 is offered for performances that break the course records. Current course record times are 00:37:11 for men (2023) and 00:44:25 for women (2025). Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
