Flat Caps 10K

The Flat Caps 10K is an annual road race held in Sowerby Bridge, Halifax, featuring a challenging undulating 10-kilometre course through the scenic Calderdale countryside. Now in its sixth year, the event is chip-timed, fully marshalled, and includes water stations, distance markers, toilets, changing facilities, and showers. The race supports Overgate Hospice, with all profits donated; over £2,700 was raised in 2025.

Participants compete for a £50 cash prize for breaking course records. The race starts and finishes at Sowerby Bridge Cricket Club, offering refreshments such as tea, coffee, and snacks.
