Flat Caps 10K

The Flat Caps 10K is a road race organized by the Sowerby Bridge Snails Running Club in Sowerby Bridge, Halifax. Now in its sixth year, the event takes place on a single-lap circuit through the countryside of Calderdale. The course is officially measured and fully marshalled, featuring an undulating and hilly profile on paved surfaces.

All profits from the event are donated to the Overgate Hospice, following a 2025 edition that raised over £2,700 for the organization. The race has an entry limit of 250 participants. Runners receive professional chip timing for their results. A cash prize of £50 is available for participants who set new course records, which currently stand at 00:37:11 for men and 00:44:25 for women.

The race headquarters are located at the Sowerby Bridge Cricket Club on Walton Street. Facilities at the site include toilets, changing rooms, and showers, though no baggage storage is provided. On-course amenities include water stations and distance markers. At the headquarters, refreshments such as tea, coffee, cakes, and various sandwiches are available.
