The Flapjack 5K : Event overview
The Flapjack 5K takes place on Saturday, June 20, 2026, in Jasper, GA (zip 30143). The event is a 5K run/walk presented by the Optimist Club of Jasper. Registration is listed at $30, with the price increasing after June 13, 2026. Everyone who registers receives a free flapjack breakfast. Additional breakfast tickets are available for purchase during registration for $5 each. Shirts are guaranteed for those registered by June 12, 2026; registrants after that date and race-day registrants are not guaranteed a shirt or size.
Course, timing and logistics
The course is a fairly flat out-and-back on paved streets and starts in downtown Jasper. The start is about 0.25 mile north of the registration area. Runners proceed out Main Street to Little Road, turn around, and return to finish near 61 South Main Street. Early packet pickup and registration are available on Friday, June 19, 2026, at the State Farm office, 360 W. Church St, Jasper. On-site registration and packet pickup are available on race day morning.
The race will be timed by BT Race Timing but will not use chip timing. Finish cards will be handed out at the finish; participants must write name, age, bib number and gender on the card and submit it at the results boards for posting and award eligibility. There is plenty of free downtown parking. In case of rain the race will go on; severe-weather delays or cancellation are possible. No refunds.
