Event overview
The Flapjack 5K takes place in Jasper, Georgia on Saturday, June 20, 2026. The event is presented by the Optimist Club of Jasper and is the 28th annual running of the race. The listed entry fee for the 5K is $30 and registration opens January 1, 2026. Shirts are guaranteed for those registered by June 12, 2026. Registrants receive a free Flapjack breakfast; additional breakfast tickets are available for $5 each during registration. Non-registrants may purchase a breakfast ticket through the event store.
Course, timing and event details
The course is a fairly flat out-and-back on paved streets that starts in downtown Jasper, runs out Main Street to Little Road, then returns to a finish near 61 South Main Street. Early packet pickup and registration are scheduled the day before at a State Farm office on West Church Street. There is free parking available in downtown Jasper.
Timing will be provided by BT Race Timing and the race will not use chip timing. Finish cards will be given at the finish; runners should write name, age, bib number and gender on the card and turn it in at the results boards for posting and award eligibility. Awards include frying pans for overall male and female finishers and spatulas for age group places 1 to 3 in 10-year age groups up to 80 and over. The event will proceed in rain unless severe weather causes a delay or cancellation. No refunds are offered. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
