Event Overview
The Flapjack 5K is the 28th annual run presented by the Optimist Club of Jasper. It takes place on Saturday, June 20, 2026, in downtown Jasper, Georgia.
Course Details
The course is a 5K run/walk on paved streets. It starts in downtown Jasper and follows a fairly flat, out-and-back route. Participants run out Main Street to Little Road, turn around, and return to town. The finish line is near 61 South Main Street. The start line is approximately 0.25 miles north of the registration area.
Registration and Logistics
Registration includes a free pancake (flapjack) breakfast. Additional breakfast tickets can be purchased for $5 each during registration. Race shirts are guaranteed for those registered by June 12, 2026. There is plenty of free parking available in downtown Jasper.
The race is timed by BT Race Timing, but it is not chip-timed. Participants receive a finish card to fill out and turn in at the results boards for their time to be posted and to be eligible for awards.
Awards
Unique awards are given. Overall male and female finishers receive frying pans. Age group awards (three deep in 10-year increments up to 80 and over) are spatulas.
Other Information
Early packet pickup is available on Friday, June 19, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at a State Farm office on 360 W. Church St. in Jasper. The event proceeds in case of rain, with a potential delay for severe weather. The policy states there are no refunds for any reason.
