Event Details

The 28th Annual Flapjack 5K Run is presented by the Optimist Club of Jasper. It is a 5K run/walk. The event takes place in downtown Jasper, Georgia.

Course

The course is a fairly flat, out-and-back route on paved streets. It starts in downtown Jasper. The route goes out Main Street to Little Road, turns around, and returns to finish near 61 South Main Street. The start line is about 0.25 miles north of the registration area.

Registration and Perks

Registration includes a free pancake breakfast for each participant. Additional breakfast tickets can be purchased for $5 each during registration. Event t-shirts are guaranteed for participants who register by June 12, 2026. Registration after that date does not guarantee a shirt or specific size.

Awards

Unique awards are given. Overall male and female finishers receive frying pans. Age group awards (three deep per group) are spatulas, in 10-year age groups up to 80 and over.

Timing and Results

The race is timed by BT Race Timing. It is not chip-timed. Participants receive a finish card to fill out with their name, age, bib number, and gender, which must be turned in at the results board for timing. Results are posted online after the race.

Logistics

Early packet pickup is available on Friday before the event at a State Farm office in Jasper. On race day, on-site registration and packet pickup are available. Parking is free and plentiful in downtown Jasper. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
