Event Details
The Five Star 5K, Mile of Smiles, and Wellness Festival is a community event taking place at Riverdale Regional Park in Brighton, Colorado. It features two participant events: a Five Star 5K Run/Walk/Roll and a Mile of Smiles one-mile route.
A concurrent Wellness Festival is held in the grassy area near the start and finish. This festival includes family-friendly cultural and athletic activities, food samples, and giveaways from various vendors and community organizations. The festival is open to everyone, not just event registrants.
On-Site Information
Strollers are welcome at the event, but dogs are discouraged due to the size of the event and park restrictions. Water stations are provided along the route, at the finish line, and at the festival. Food trucks are present, with cuties and chocolate milk available at the finish. The event is held rain, snow, or shine.
Registration and Logistics
Packet and t-shirt pickup is available on the days before the event at the Adams 12 Educational Support Center in Thornton. A wide range of registration discounts and free entries are offered for students from Title I schools, Adams 12 employees, youth, military personnel, veterans, and families. All funds raised support wellness programs in Adams 12 Five Star Schools. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
