Carbon Valley Half Marathon & 5K : Race overview
The Carbon Valley event in Firestone, Colorado includes a half marathon and shorter distance options on a mixed-surface course. The route passes through manicured trail systems, dirt paths, bridges, and rural roads, and includes Firestone Central Park, the Firestone Trail, Milevac Lake in Frederick, and parts of Frederick downtown. The course provides views of the Rockies and features a two mile downhill finish. The 13.1 mile route is a certified course.

Participant items and limits Participants who registered at least seven days before the event receive a tech t-shirt, a medal, and a goodie bag. The first 500 combined Half and 5K registrants receive goodie bags. Fun Run participants receive a cotton t-shirt. A limited quantity of additional t-shirts may be available for purchase at the event. There are no refunds.
Fundraising Participants are asked to raise funds individually or as teams for autism research. The event goal is to raise $25,000 for the Autism Treatment Network through Children’s Hospital Colorado. Each participant is asked to raise a minimum of $25.
