The Carbon Valley Half Marathon & 5K takes place in Firestone, Colorado on May 9, 2026. The event is located at 6850 Tilbury Avenue, Firestone, CO 80504. It is held between Denver and Fort Collins and uses venues in both Firestone and Frederick.

Course and participant items
The course uses manicured trail systems, dirt paths, bridges and rural roads. It features Firestone Central Park, the Firestone Trail, Frederick’s Milevac Lake and downtown, and includes views of the Rockies. The half marathon route includes a two-mile downhill finish. Participants who register at least seven days before the event receive a t-shirt, a finisher medal and a goodie bag; the first 500 half/5K registrants receive goodie bags. Fun Run participants receive a cotton t-shirt. A limited quantity of t-shirts may be available for purchase on race day.
Charity and policies
The event asks participants to raise funds for the Autism Treatment Network through Children’s Hospital Colorado, with a goal of $25,000 and a requested minimum of $25 per participant. There are no refunds. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
