The event is held at Five Fields Farm, 720 S Bridgton Rd, Bridgton, ME. Races use trails in the Bald Pate Preserve and Holt Pond Preserve and start and finish at the Five Fields Farm apple orchard. Course maps and elevation profiles are provided in the race photos.
The Five Fields Farm 50K is a three lap figure 8 course. Each lap is a little over 10 miles with about 1350 feet of elevation gain per lap. The route includes steep climbs, technical and narrow singletrack, long rolling terrain, and a final section through an apple orchard. Small segments cross private property with permission; runners are asked to respect landowners and avoid pre-race training on those sections.
The Bald Pate 10K is a rugged, technical 10 kilometer course with about 1800 feet of elevation gain. The course features steep climbs, technical singletrack, muddy sections, and scenic viewpoints.
Aid stations for the 50K include two staffed stations on course plus the start/finish serving as an additional station. Stations provide water, Tailwind, gels, light snacks, and more substantial items at the start/finish. The 10K has one aid station with water, Tailwind, and light snacks.
Entry fees listed are $75 for the 50K and $35 for the 10K. Proceeds benefit the Loon Echo Land Trust. Volunteers are requested to help on course and at stations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
