Fit Melanin Trot: Thanksgiving Edition
This is a free, in-person Thanksgiving 5k walk or run organized by Free Flo Fit and YOUniversal Fitness in Tacoma, Washington. The route is an out-and-back course along the waterfront at Melanie Jan LaPlant Dressel Park and measures 5k (3.1 miles). The trail is mostly flat with some slight slopes and is described as accessible for walking and running.
The event program includes a group warm up, a music set by a DJ, the walk or run along the marked route, and a recovery period. Registration via RSVP is required for participation and includes a liability waiver. The event is open to all ages; children and dogs are allowed.
