Fit for Life 5K Fun Run : Howard Homecoming
Fit for Life is the third annual 5K fun run held as part of Howard University Homecoming. The event is organized by Alumni Roundup with participation from the City of Washington DC Mayor’s Office, FITDC, and Howard University alumni. It is offered at no cost and free parking is available.
The course is set along the Anacostia RiverWalk Trail with staging at the Anacostia Recreation Center, 1800 Anacostia Drive SE, Washington, DC 20020. Participants may register for free and registered participants can receive an official race T shirt while supplies last. Howard University Hospital will be on site to offer health screenings. Live music and activities are planned at the start and finish areas.
Interpreters will be provided. Additional accessibility accommodations are available on request. The presentation emphasizes community participation, health resources, and on-site activities rather than competition. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
