First Steps, Big Dreams 5k
First Steps, Big Dreams is a community 5K run and walk held at Sandhill Fields on Sand Hill Road in Georgetown, Delaware on November 14, 2026. The event offers standard 5K registration, a competitive walking division that requires walking the entire course, and a youth registration for participants 12 and under.

Registration fees are listed for each category with separate pricing for adults and youth. The event provides participant tee shirts and post race refreshments and music. Organizers use chip timing with the MYLAPS BibTag system operated by R2R Timing. Results are posted online during and after the race. Awards are given to overall top finishers and masters by gun time, while age group awards are scored by chip net time. Age group awards cover 10 year increments from 13 and under through 70 and over, and there are awards for top walkers. Event policies note that bibs are non transferable, dogs are not allowed because of insurance liability, and registrations are non refundable.
