FireK 26 is a community running event held on October 3, 2026 in Evans, Georgia at Columbia County's Patriot's Park. The event offers two race distances:

Activities and mission

The event features fire apparatus on display, fire-related activities for children, a Kid's Fun Zone, a Kid's Fun Run, Super Heroes, a live DJ, trophies, door prizes, and a free hotdog lunch. Firefighters are encouraged to register as teams to compete in the 5K for a bragging rights trophy and an additional prize.

The FireK mission has three parts: support the financial needs of firefighting families facing cancer, provide no-cost preemptive screenings for firefighters that meet NFPA and IAFC recommendations, and connect firefighters with resources to reduce and treat cancer risks. The event information notes that between 2002 and 2017, 61% of firefighter deaths were attributed to occupational cancer, that firefighters have a 9% greater chance of getting cancer than civilians, and a 14% increased risk of dying from that cancer.
