Registration and bib pick-up are available the evening before at Fleet Feet Augusta (229 Fury's Ferry Road) and on the morning of the event at Lake Olmstead Trailhead. The course will use the Augusta Canal area and possibly the River Levee Trail. The event is described as a basic run/walk and is stroller, dog, and kid friendly. There are no refunds and a 30-minute weather delay policy may be used if needed.
All proceeds benefit Project Lifting Spirits Inc. Funds and donations support gifts and events for local veterans, active duty service members, and their families, including meals, holiday gifts, ice cream socials, and visits to DDEAMC, Fisher Houses, and VA hospitals in the CSRA. A Christmas in July collection will gather toys and books for children 18 and under and coloring and puzzle books (large and regular text) for veterans.
