Event
The Project Lifting Spirits 5k/10k is scheduled for July 18, 2026 in Augusta, GA. The event offers two race distances:

- 10k
The in-person start location is Lake Olmstead Trailhead, 1 Milledge Road, Augusta, GA 30904. The course will use the Augusta Canal trailhead and possibly the River Levee Trail. The event is described as a bare-bones run/walk and is stroller-, dog-, and kid-friendly. Registration and bib pick-up are available the day before at Fleet Feet Augusta and on race morning at the Lake Olmstead Trailhead. There is also a virtual option for participants.
Entry fees are listed as $10 for the 5k or 10k without a medal and $15 for the 5k or 10k with a medal. The virtual option with a medal is listed at $15. The organizer states there are no refunds.
Charity and logistics
All proceeds benefit Project Lifting Spirits Inc. Funds will support events and items for local veterans, active duty service members, and their families, including ice cream socials, pizza parties, meals, holiday gifts, and cards. Funds will be used with DDEAMC, Fisher Houses, and VA hospitals in the CSRA. A Christmas in July collection will seek toys and books for children under 18 and coloring and puzzle books (regular and large text) for veterans.
