Firefly Festival Run/Walk 5K
The Firefly Festival Run/Walk 5K takes place in New Harmony, Indiana. The event follows an out and back route that utilizes the local scenery of the Wabash River. Participants navigate a course that passes several historic sites along North St., with the majority of the path consisting of crushed gravel.
The race starts and finishes at the Atheneum Visitors Center located at 401 Arthur St. Check-in and late registration occur on the morning of the event at the visitor center. The event is timed by To the Finish and proceeds in various weather conditions including rain.

Awards are presented to the top male and female participants, as well as the runners-up in each category. Specific age group awards are available for the top three male and female finishers in brackets ranging from 13 and under to 80 and over. A portion of the proceeds from the registration fees is donated to Historic New Harmony. Registration options include a standard entry or a medal-only alternative.
