Course and race-day logistics
The course is marked with orange cones that include red directional arrows. The route begins at Brunswick Fire Station 1 and proceeds east on Gloucester St, then follows Lanier Blvd, Walnut St, Sycamore St, George St (to Wright Square), Eggmont St, Albemarle, Union St, Mansfield St, New Castle St, and returns to Gloucester St to finish in front of the fire station. Packet pickup is scheduled the evening before the race at Downtown First Friday, located at the intersection of Gloucester and Richmond St; that pickup is listed for June 6 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Food trucks and vendors will be set up at The First United Methodist Church. Street parking is noted, with a recommendation to park on the north side of Gloucester or on Norwich in front of the church if arriving before road closures; access to the church will be from Monk St due to Gloucester St closures. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each age class: Rookie (18 and under), Probie (19-35), Fire Fighter (36-50), Captain (51-65), and Chief (66 and up).
