Firecracker Run - Coos Bay
The Firecracker Run takes place on July 4, 2027, at Mingus Park in Coos Bay, Oregon. The event offers a short kids run and an adult run/walk held around the park lake and nearby trails and streets. Registration is available online; race-day registration and volunteer roles are also offered. Members enter the adult race without a fee; non-members pay a registration fee.

- 1/2-mile kids run, 1.5 laps around the lake
- Approximately 4K grown-up run, three laps around the lake plus a hill
The adult course includes multiple laps around the lake, a notable hill within Mingus Park, segments on city streets, a dirt trail through the park, and a finish on the paved path by the lake. The course route has been adjusted from previous years because of erosion on the uphill trail and will be well marked on race day.
The kids run is free. Member entry for the adult race is free; non-members pay a stated fee. The organizer coordinates fireworks in the evening for participants and holds a festival at Mingus Park after the runs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
