Coos to Cape

Coos to Cape is a coastal 50K road run in Coos Bay, Oregon, held on Sunday, February 8, 2026. The event begins and ends at a public parking area next to 7 Devils Brewery in downtown Coos Bay. Registration is listed at $0 for entry on the entrants list.

The route starts on Ocean Boulevard and follows sidewalks into the Empire neighborhood before joining Cape Arago Highway and heading south along the coast. Early sections use roadway shoulders and a bike path. Around mile 6.7 there is a Dairy Queen; the docks of Charleston appear near mile 8.5 to 9 with stores, cafes, and a public restroom. A lower-traffic alternative uses Chicken Loop Road toward Bastendorff Beach, which includes a short gravel section and a beachside restroom.

Runners pass Lighthouse Beach, Sunset Beach, and Shore Acres State Park as traffic decreases and coastal views open. The published 50K distance is based on staying on the road, though detours onto Cape Arago trails are possible. The turn-around point is at Cape Arago State Park, where portable toilets are available but no water is listed, and the route is then retraced back to downtown Coos Bay and the brewery finish.

A mapped route and mile-by-mile services are provided by the organizer, including public restrooms and food options at multiple points along the course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
