Coos to Cape : Feb 8, 2026

Coos to Cape is a 50K road-running event in Coos Bay, Oregon. Registration fee is $0 and registration closes Sat, Feb 7 at 11:59 PM PT. The start and finish are at the public parking area next to 7 Devils Brewery in downtown Coos Bay.

Course and on-route services

The published route heads out of town on Ocean Boulevard into the Empire neighborhood, then follows Cape Arago Highway south. The route uses sidewalks and highway shoulder or bike path for much of the course, with a short scenic detour onto Chicken Loop Road that includes some gravel and beachside running toward Bastendorff Beach. From there the route rejoins Cape Arago Highway and passes Lighthouse Beach, Sunset Beach, and Shore Acres State Park before turning around at Cape Arago State Park and retracing back to downtown Coos Bay.

On-route services and landmarks include a public restroom and stores in the Empire neighborhood (mile 3.5-4), Dairy Queen near mile 6.7, docks and a public restroom in Charleston around mile 8.5-9, Bastendorff Beach restroom with tap water near mile 10, Sunset Beach restroom near mile 12.5, Shore Acres park restroom slightly off course near mile 13.8, and a turnaround with a port-a-potty at Cape Arago near mile 15.4.
