Event overview
Coos to Cape is a road ultramarathon held in Coos Bay, Oregon, on February 8, 2026. The published race distance is 50K. The start and finish are located at the public parking area next to 7 Devils Brewery, under the Steve Prefontaine mural.
Course and on-route services
The route leaves downtown Coos Bay on Ocean Boulevard toward the Empire neighborhood and follows the Cape Arago Highway south. Runners pass through Charleston and then use Chicken Loop Road toward Bastendorff Beach before rejoining the highway. The course continues past Lighthouse Beach, Sunset Beach, and Shore Acres State Park, with a turnaround near Cape Arago State Park; the official 50K distance is based on staying on the road, though trail detours are mentioned as optional. The route is an out-and-back that returns to the brewery finish.
