Mac's Run, Sunset Bay State Park
Mac's Run takes place on Saturday December 12, 2026 at Sunset Bay State Park in Coos Bay, OR. The event features two timed running events and is held entirely on paved roads.

Both courses run through Shore Acres: participants loop through Shore Acres heading out to the south, then return straight to the north. The course is described as hilly and offers ocean views along the route.
General entry price for each event is $25. A student entry option is available for $5; registrants should use the coupon code Student2022 and bring $5 in exact change to registration, since students may not be charged at online checkout to avoid credit-card fees.
Starting October 1, 2025, all vehicles entering the park require a parking pass, priced per vehicle. Day passes cost $10 for in-state vehicles and $12 for out-of-state vehicles and are available at a kiosk near registration using a QR code. Annual state park passes are listed at $30 for one year and $50 for two years; the annual pass price is scheduled to increase to $60 on January 1 and two-year passes will no longer be issued.
