Event overview
Mac's Run takes place on Saturday, December 12, 2026, at Sunset Bay State Park in Coos Bay, Oregon. The event offers the following distances:
- 5K
- 10K
Standard entry for each distance is $25. Registration shows 75 spots remaining and closes on December 11, 2026. A reduced student entry fee of $5 is available; registrants should use the coupon code Student2022 and bring $5 cash to on-site registration to avoid credit-card fees.
Course and logistics
Both courses are entirely on paved roads and follow a route that loops through Shore Acres heading out (south) and returns straight back (north). The course is hilly and provides ocean views. Since October 1, 2025, all vehicles entering the park require a parking pass; day passes cost $10 for in-state vehicles and $12 for out-of-state vehicles and are available at a kiosk near registration using a QR code. Annual state park passes are listed at $30 for one year or $50 for two years, with a noted price change to $60 for a single-year pass and the end of two-year passes starting January 1.
