Firecracker 5K and Family Fun Run, Wilmington MA
The event is the Sixth Annual Firecracker 5K and Family Fun Run, held as part of the 44th annual Fun on the Fourth celebration at the Wilmington Town Common from June 25 to June 28, 2026. The road race takes place on June 25, 2026.

Race services and amenities include water stops, professional chip timing provided by Stack Endurance, and free downloadable finish line photos. Participant shirts are provided, with the first 100 registrants guaranteed a shirt. Live music will be present at the finish area. Cash prizes are offered to the top three male and top three female finishers with awards of $100, $75, and $50, and prizes are also given to age group winners. Refunds are not available.
Course and logistics: the 5K follows a familiar Wilmington route with gradual inclines and declines, beginning next to Wilmington High School on Route 62/Church Street, and looping through Wildwood Street, Woburn Street, Federal Street, and Middlesex Avenue before finishing near the high school. Cones and directions will be placed along the course.
Bib pickup and race day registration will be handled outside the Fourth of July Headquarters at 142 Middlesex Avenue. Parking is suggested at St. Thomas Church, 126 Middlesex Avenue.
