Firecracker 5K at Chickasaw Point - Westminster, SC
The Firecracker event on July 4, 2026 is held at Chickasaw Point near Lake Hartwell. The in-person 5K is a tree-lined out-and-back course with a turnaround that offers a lake view and a finish that overlooks the Chickasaw Point golf course. Water is available on the course. The 5K is chip timed and official results will be provided. Post-race refreshments are offered for the 5K and the 1 Mile event.

- 0.5 Mile (Kid's Fun Run)
- Virtual 5K
The in-person 5K includes a commemorative 250th anniversary finisher medal and a 250th celebration shirt for finishers. The 1 Mile and Kid's Fun Run do not include a shirt or medal, though shirts can be purchased during registration while supplies last. The virtual 5K allows submission of finish times or automatic submission via the RaceJoy app; virtual registration does not include a shirt but a shirt may be added and picked up at the Chickasaw Point Golf Course Pro Shop.
An awards ceremony will recognize top finishers in age divisions. Additional recognition is given to top overall and age-group performers and to the oldest and youngest runners. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
