Light the Trail 5K : Clemson, SC
Light the Trail is an evening running event on September 17, 2026 in the Patrick Square community of Clemson, with a rain date of September 24, 2026. The event benefits the Green Crescent Trail and the 15×30 campaign to create a connected 15-mile regional trail network by 2030. It takes place just before Clemson University’s Parents Weekend.

The 5K will have professional timing provided by Upstate Race Series. The program also lists awards for various ages and groups, a costume contest, raffle prizes, and a community gathering on the Village Green with local food, drinks, music, family activities, and community partner booths. Registration for the events opens June 1 and closes September 1; registration prices increase beginning September 2, 2026. Race packet pickup is scheduled at Sunnyside Cafe and Kite Hill Brewing on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 15 and 16, and at the Village Green on Thursday, September 17.
