Firecracker 5K NSB
The Firecracker 5K NSB is a chip-timed 5K run/walk held on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at the Flagler Avenue Boardwalk beach in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. The course is run in the sand with the start and finish located on the beach in front of the boardwalk.
Registration opens January 2, 2026 and closes July 3, 2026. Early online registration is $30 and in-person or late registration on race day is $35. Registration is non-refundable and transfers are not allowed. Packet pickup and late registration are available on race day; race shirts are included but sizes are not guaranteed for late registrants.
Race services include disposable electronic timing chips attached to bibs, posted results onsite and online, a water stop on the route (passed twice), and a water refill station at the start and finish area. Participants receive a finisher medal and free professional race photographs will be available for download after the event.
An awards celebration will take place at Flagler Tavern following the race. All participants receive event coupons or "Flagler Tavern Bucks" for the celebration. Awards include top overall male and female, top masters male and female, and top three male and female in multiple age groups from 10-14 through 80 and older. Pets are not allowed. The event is held rain or shine. Parking is available along Flagler Avenue with posted times and fees. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
