Firecracker 5k NSB: Run/Walk
The Firecracker 5k NSB: Run/Walk takes place on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at the Flagler Ave Boardwalk beach in New Smyrna Beach, FL (101 Buenos Aires St, 32169). The course is a beach run/walk in the sand and both the start and finish are located on the beach in front of the Flagler Ave Boardwalk.
This is a chip-timed 5K with a water stop on the route (passed twice) and a water refill station at the start/finish area. Registration includes a race shirt (sizes not guaranteed for late registrations), a finisher medal, and free professional race photos available after the event. Packet pickup and day-of registration are available near the start line.
Entry fees are $30 for early registration through July 3 at noon and $35 for in-person registration on the day of the race. Day-of payment options include cash, online credit card, or check payable to the Flagler Ave Business Association. Registration is non-refundable and the event has a strict no transfer policy.
An awards celebration is held after the race at Flagler Tavern; all participants receive Flagler Tavern Bucks or coupons for use during the celebration. Awards recognize top overall and masters male and female finishers and the top three male and female finishers in age groups including 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, and 80+.
