Event overview
The Firecracker 5K takes place on July 4, 2026 in Fernandina Beach, Florida. The event is based at the Racquet Park Conference Center / Omni Amelia Island Racquet Park, 102 Racquet Park Drive. The course runs through a tree-canopied resort area next to the Verandah restaurant. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the First Coast YMCA. Strollers are permitted on the course; animals and bicycles are not allowed.

The 5K is chip timed using a disposable chip attached to the back of the bib. Bibs must be worn on the front of the runner for accurate timing. All participants receive a finisher medal.
Entry, packet pick-up and awards
5K entry fees listed in the event information are: $40 per adult and $20 per child (12 and under) before April 30; $45 per adult and $20 per child before June 27; and $55 per adult and $25 per child after June 28. Packet pick-up is available on Friday, July 3 and on race day at Front Running Sports, 102 Racquet Park, Fernandina Beach. Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers and to the top three in multiple age groups, with medals for all finishers.
