Firecracker 5K - Amelia Island
The Firecracker 5K takes place on July 4, 2026, at Racquet Park in Fernandina Beach, Florida. The course runs through the Omni Amelia Island Racquet Park area by the Verandah restaurant and passes through tree canopies within the resort property. Strollers are allowed on the course; animals and bicycles are not permitted.
The event includes these distances:
- 5K Run/Walk, chip timed with a disposable chip attached to the back of the bib
- Kids 1 mile Fun Run, open to ages 12 and under
Timing for the 5K uses a disposable chip provided and attached to the bib; bibs must be worn on the front of the runner for accurate timing. All participants will receive a finisher medal and a shirt. Awards are presented in the open division for the top three male and top three female finishers and for the top three in multiple age groups from 10 and under through 90 plus.
Packet pickup is available at Front Running Sports, 102 Racquet Park, on the days immediately before and on race day. Entry fees are tiered for the 5K with lower rates before registration deadlines and a separate price for the kids fun run. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
