Event overview
The 12th Annual Firecracker 4 Mile takes place on Saturday, July 4, 2026, in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. The event is held at Laurel Hill County Park, address 1400 Highway 41, Mount Pleasant, SC 29465. It features two race options:
- 4 Mile Run
- 1 Mile...ish Kids Run
The entry fee for the 4 Mile Run is $25; the price increases after December 31, 2025. The kids run is free. Kids run registration closes on July 4, 2026.
Course and race-day information
The course uses shaded trails inside Laurel Hill County Park. Organizers state there will be music, hotdogs, and cold beverages available after the race. Race packets are available on site race morning starting at 7:30 am. Entrants are asked to enter the park through the Highway 41 entrance at 1400 Highway 41. Proceeds from the event support Newberry College Track & Field and Cross Country. Organizers note conditions can be hot and muggy and advise participants to hydrate.
