Firecracker 10K & 2 Mile Run/Walk
The Firecracker event takes place on July 4, 2026, at Chautauqua Avenue and East Terrace Avenue in Lakewood, NY. It includes multiple foot-race options and community activities on the same day. All registrants receive a swag bag. Apparel is offered to registrants who sign up by June 21, 2026. The listed registration fee for each main event is $35.

An awards ceremony follows the race at the kazebo. A free kids corner runs immediately after the start of the Firecracker race and is open to ages 2 to 12. The kids race is a cone-to-cone format with distance adjusted by age group; all participating children receive a drawstring bag with goodies. In addition, there is a free Money Hunt for ages 2 to 12, sponsored by M&T Bank, where children search for candy and coins and are provided a bag for collecting items.
