Event Overview
The Fire Fightin' 5K Run/Walk is a running and walking event in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. It is the 12th annual edition of this community run.

The event includes two entry divisions:
- A standard 5K run/walk.
- A FireFighting Gear Division.
Course & Location
The course is described as flat and fast, going through the town of Rehoboth Beach. The route passes by the boardwalk and the ocean. The start and finish line is at the Rehoboth Beach Fire Company station on Rehoboth Avenue.
Event Details
The event is organized by Seashore Strider Event Production, Inc. and benefits the Rehoboth Beach Fire Company. Race timing uses the Chronotrack B Chip system. Registration fees are tiered: a lower "pre-race" price is available until a specified date, followed by higher "race week" and "race day" prices. Registrations processed by a certain date guarantee a t-shirt; later registrations are subject to availability.
Packet pickup is scheduled for the day before the race at the Rehoboth Beach Fire Company. On race day, there is also a kids dash and an awards ceremony scheduled for after the race.
Awards & Amenities
Awards are presented to overall male and female champions, masters champions (40+), and the top three male and female finishers in various age groups from 9 & under through 80+. In the FireFighting Gear division, the top five finishers receive medals. The awards ceremony begins shortly after the last finisher. Other event amenities include custom awards, live music, games, door prizes, and post-race refreshments at the station. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
