12TH RBVFC FIRE FIGHTIN' 5K RUN/WALK
The event is a community 5K run/walk held in Rehoboth Beach on August 23, 2026. The course is described as flat and fast and runs through the town of Rehoboth Beach, including sections along the boardwalk and the ocean. The start and finish are located at the station.
Two event options are listed:
- 3.1 Miles - 5k Run/Walk
- 3.1 Miles - FireFighting GEAR Division
The FireFighting GEAR Division allows participants to race in firefighting gear, with medals awarded to the top five finishers in that division. Chip timing will be used with the ChronoTrack B Chip system. Event production and the finish line are provided by Seashore Strider Event Production, Inc.
Race amenities include custom t-shirts, custom awards, a kids dash, live music, games, door prizes, and post-race refreshments at the station. Awards are presented to Overall Male and Female champions, Overall Male and Female Masters (40 and over), and the top three male and female finishers in age categories from 9 and under, 10-13, 14-19, 20-24, then five-year age groups through 80 plus. Proceeds benefit the Rehoboth Beach Fire Company.
