Finnriver Farm Spiked Apple 5k
The Finnriver Farm Spiked Apple 5k is an annual running and walking event held at Finnriver Farm & Cidery in Chimacum, Washington. Participants navigate a 5k course that consists of two laps starting and finishing near the brewery and cidery. The cross country style route provides a tour of the local vineyards and includes sections of uneven footing and various inclines.
The event is chip timed and scored by J3 Timing, with results published online following the conclusion of the activity. While the course is open to both runners and walkers, strollers are not recommended due to the nature of the terrain. Only service dogs are permitted on the property.
Participants receive several items with their registration:
- A ring-spun cotton t-shirt
- A shatterproof and collapsible glass
- A finisher medal that functions as a bottle opener
- A professionally timed race bib
- A homemade cider donut and a pour of cider
The event features age group awards for the top three male and female finishers in diverse categories ranging from 1-9 to 80 and over. Competitive participants must start in the first group to be eligible for these awards. Packet pickup is available on the day of the event starting one hour before the race.
