Rock Solid Marathon and Half Marathon
The Rock Solid Marathon and Half Marathon take place during the weekend of February 26-28, 2027 on Whidbey Island in Coupeville, Washington. In-person races occur on February 27, 2027.
Both in-person courses use coastal roads and scenic trails and start and finish at Goldie's and The Roost in historic Coupeville. The route crosses the island to Ebey's Landing and runs through the Kettles Trail System. The half marathon continues onto Madrona Way, passes the Captain Whidbey Inn, then returns to Coupeville and finishes at Goldie's with a post-race gathering. The marathon diverges after the Kettles trails to include natural beach sections and country roads, runs along Penn Cove, and then converges with the half marathon route on Madrona Way to the finish. Course maps are provided for both races.

Virtual marathon and virtual half marathon options are offered. Registration opens September 24, 2026 and closes February 23, 2027. Entry fees listed for the events are Marathon $125.00, Half Marathon $95.00, and virtual races $85.00.
All runners receive a custom race t-shirt and a finisher medal. Goldie's and The Roost serve as race headquarters all weekend. The Roost upstairs will host packet pickup and a pizza party the evening before the race. Race awards and speeches will take place on Saturday. All profits from the event will be donated to the Rock Solid Foundation, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
