Rock Solid Marathon, Half Marathon
The second annual Rock Solid Marathon and Rock Solid Half Marathon are scheduled for Saturday, February 28, 2026, in Coupeville, Washington. The event lists two races:
- Rock Solid Marathon
- Rock Solid Half Marathon
The race headquarters and start/finish are at the Captain Whidbey Inn, 2072 Captain Whidbey Inn Road, Coupeville, WA 98239. Entry fees are listed as $125 for the marathon and $95 for the half marathon. At the time of the listing there were 18 marathon spots and 33 half marathon spots remaining; registration closes February 21, 2026.
Course, services and charity
The courses use winding coastal roads and scenic trails. Runners follow Madrona Way into Coupeville, cross the island toward Ebey's Landing, and pass through the Kettles Trail System. The half marathon returns to the Captain Whidbey Inn; the marathon continues along a few miles of natural beach, rural roads on Whidbey Island, and Penn Cove before finishing at the inn. All finishers receive a custom race t-shirt and finisher medal. The Captain Whidbey Inn serves as weekend headquarters and will host a pre-race breakfast and a Saturday evening dinner with awards.
