Fillmore-Japantown Find-Your-Way 5K and 10K, San Francisco, August 22, 2026
This is a map-based navigation event through historic neighborhoods and parks in the Fillmore and Japantown area of San Francisco. Participants choose between a 5K or 10K course and use a custom 1:7500 scale map to visit marked checkpoints. Checkpoints are shown as circles on the map; teams locate the place at the center of each circle and answer a simple multiple choice question before continuing.

- 10K course with about 30 checkpoints
Teams may be one to five people. Gender divisions are Women, Men, and Mixed. Age divisions include Junior, Open, Masters (average age 40 plus), and Family for mixed-age teams. After returning to the finish there are snacks, drinks, and time for socializing.

The event runs rain or shine; closed-toed shoes, hats, and sunblock are recommended. Parking in the area is limited. Civic Center BART is approximately 0.7 miles away on foot or bike and multiple S.F. Muni buses serve the nearby area.
