Fighting Hunger Feeding Hope 5K - Overview
The Fighting Hunger Feeding Hope event is a community run/walk held in Summerville, Georgia. It includes a 5K run, a 1 Mile Fun Run, and a "Ghost Runner" option for supporters who do not participate in the race. The event is based at the Community Resource Center of Chattooga County, 50 Eleanor Ave., Suite A, Summerville, GA 30747.
The 5K starts and finishes at the Community Resource Center and follows neighborhood streets, including Highland Ave., 6th Ave., Hwy 27, a U-turn near Maple Dr., and E. Washington. The 1 Mile course is an out-and-back route along Highland Ave. and E. Washington. Limited parking is available at the Community Resource Center; additional parking is provided at Dowdy Park about 3/4 mile away.

Published entry fees are $30 for the 5K, $25 for the 1 Mile, and $20 for the Ghost Runner option. Pre-race packet pickup is held at the Community Resource Center on the day before the event.
Awards and timing
The 5K uses chip timing provided by Wire2Wire Running, LLC with RFID technology. Awards are listed for top overall finishers, masters winners, and age-group placings for the 5K; the 1 Mile offers medals for the top three overall male and female finishers.
